The Uniform Commercial Real Estate Receivership Act, or UCRERA, became law in Florida on July 1, 2020. Florida is one of only nine states that have adopted UCRERA and marks a new era for Florida courts and MIAMI REALTORS Commercial Members.

The Honorable Edward LaRose, Florida Second District Court of Appeal Judge, who served as a member of the Florida Bar Business Law Section’s UCRERA Task Force.
Kenneth Dante Murena, a partner at Damian & Valori, LLP, who served as co-chair of the UCRERA Task Force, spearheading the four-year effort to make UCRERA law in Florida.
Manuel Farach, a partner at McGlinchey Stafford PLLC, who served as the Vice Chair of the Florida Bar Business Law Section’s Legislative Committee and assisted the UCRERA Task Force to gain the support of the Real Property Probate and Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar and to shepherd it through the Florida Legislature.
